Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Your email address, if you create an account, sign in, use a JPS membership, or activate a watch. It is used to authenticate you, associate your JPS entitlement and search allowance with you, deliver watch notices, and send receipts or service messages.
- Your billing name and address, if you enter them, so purchase receipts and billing records are complete.
- Your searches — route, date, cabin and traveler count — which are sent to our award-availability provider to return results.
- Your JPS request — the sentence you typed, and the route, dates, cabin and traveler count read from it — so a watch knows what to look for. If you name your shlack, that name may be saved on your device and copied into the active watch to personalize the service record and messages.
- Watch details and check history, including the route, criteria, status, and award-availability observations needed to operate and show your private JPS watch.
- Support inquiries, including the email address and message you submit on the customer-support page, so we can answer your request.
- Basic technical data such as IP address and page views, used to keep the service working, apply rate limits and search limits, and prevent abuse.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not see or store your card number — card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and never reach our servers.
Who processes data for us
- Stripe — payment processing, JPS membership billing, and receipts.
- Vercel — website hosting and privacy-focused page analytics.
- Resend — email delivery for sign-in codes, watch messages, and support requests; it receives the email addresses and message content needed for that delivery.
- Our award-availability provider — receives the route, date and cabin of a search in order to return results. It is not sent your identity.
- Our database provider — stores accounts, sessions, entitlement or credit balances, active watches and their service records.
Cookies and local storage
A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in on the same device. Your browser's local storage may hold a display copy of remaining searches or credits, your JPS name and recent watch links. Private watch links can contain access tokens and stay on that device unless you clear the site's data. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Account records and entitlement or credit balances are kept while your account exists. Sign-in sessions expire automatically. Payment and membership records are kept as long as tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or other legal requirements require. A JPS watch and its record of checks are deleted automatically about thirty days after it is created. Support correspondence is not stored in the application database and is normally deleted from the support mailbox within twelve months after the request is resolved, unless a longer period is required for an ongoing dispute, billing record, fraud-prevention need, or legal duty.
Your choices
You can ask us to provide a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account and its data. Use the customer-support page at /support. If you are in a region with statutory data rights, such as the UK, EU or California, those rights apply to you and we will honor them.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13.
